Annie Yonker • Coach
I started my sports journey at age 3, participating in gymnastics, horseback riding, swim team, and soccer. At 10, I convinced my mom to let me play ice hockey, which became my sole sport through high school. In college, I took up rugby, playing as a flyhalf and later serving as captain and executive board president. After college, I played for the Beantown women's premiere league rugby team until injuries led me to retire and adopt the best puppy in 2021.
I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. My coaching experience includes a 7-month stint at a friend's gym, where I was named operations manager, ran events like The Open, managed scheduling and emails, and trained new coaches recruited from the gym's membership.
Outside of the gym, I work as a dog walker/handler for problem dogs too aggressive for daycare and board dogs overnight at my home, focusing on their training. My interests outside the gym include snowboarding, taking my dog on off-leash hikes, and spending weekends doing various activities with friends and dogs.
